"The Splendour and Misery of Nature: Comparing two ecosystems of innovation in bioeconomy and genetics in relation to public good"

Résumé

We compare two existing ecosystems of innovation in bioeconomy and genetics to identify their pros and cons. We imagine what could be transformed by a transformative role of the State and dominance of public purpose (Adler, Bodrožić, & Jermier, 2021) in orchestrating a “Green Deal” now, after four centuries of what Pierre Dockès (2021) called “the splendour and misery of growth”.
