Epidemiology of fake news in the age of digital transition
Résumé
The ability to transform or even completely reconstruct reality, to allow oneself to be influenced by fictions or to suggest them if not impose them on others is, along with language, one of the strong characteristics of the human species. This already extraordinary ability to convince and allow oneself to be convinced in the weightlessness of the facts – and therefore of what is true, fair, honest – is considerably reinforced by the new information and communication technologies.
