Whose problem ? Addressing child trafficking in France and Britain

Résumé

This article analyses policy responses to child trafficking in France and Britain in the early 2000s. Although the issue of child trafficking has been a growing public concern worldwide and within the European Union, the phenomenon remains extremely difficult to quantify, due to the lack of an internationalised agreed definition and related problems of data collection (Terre des Hommes 2004, Kelly 2005).
