3D sagittal otolith reconstruction from spherical Fourier descriptors
Résumé
The shape of a fish's otolith varies according to its environment, genetics and life stage. To be able to analyse these shapes, standardisation is a crucial step. In this study, a protocol for standardising and aligning 3D reconstructions of the otolith was proposed, based on the extraction of Spherical Fourier Descriptors. This protocol was approved for 20 different fish species.
