Sylvain Grosjean, Rachel Nuter. Time evolution of the spatial distribution of the electron density and electric field intensity inside a silica plate illuminated by linearly and circulary polarized laser pulses: Simulations are realised in 1D using the ARCTIC PIC code that models the photo-ionization of silica. Pulses have a 58 fs FIT temporal profile and mean intensities of 2.5e13 W.cm-2 for a wavelength of 351 nm. Two polarisation states are tested : linear polarization (LP) and circular polarization (CP). The silica plate is 2.5 µm thick and is represented by a blue box on each graph. Pulses are coming from the left of the simulation box and are absorbed on the right side. Vacuum spaces surrounds the silica plate in the simulation box. 2024. ⟨hal-04589121⟩
