How do young writers manage he similarity of characters in written narratives?

Résumé

Aim: Our goal is to examine the mechanisms involved in the choice of the referring expressions when referent and competitor share relevant features and when they don't.
Method: 3rd and 5th grades students were asked to listen to a sentence and then produce a semantically related sentence on a digital tablet (Eye and Pen).
Results: Our findings focus on the duration of the prewriting pauses in relation to the accessibility of the referent and the students' level
