Résumé
The Nouveau-Cirque is a turning point in the history of the circus, through the very advanced technical development in its construction and its conception of a very specific great spectacle: nautical pantomime. Equipped with the latest technological improvements, designed according to optimal standards of comfort and elegance, the Nouveau-Cirque presents itself as a place of wordly entertainment, but also a reflection of modernity, a symbol of the Belle Epoque. In its swimming-pool will dive objects, animals, sportsmen, clowns, for comic, magical scenes or virtuoso exploits, with equal success. The circus then becomes the very place of modernity and its nautical pantomimes help to initiate another form of show, linked to technological possibilities.
