Modeling of electrostatic standing wave conveyor
Résumé
One of the promising solutions for dust removal from flat surfaces, such as solar panels, consists of using planar electrostatic curtains. This work aims to model the electric field and potential distribution created by a tow-phase curtain. Both numerical and analytical models are presented and compared. The results reveal that the spatial waveform in the tow-phase standing wave conveyor can be decomposed into two main sine waves with same amplitudes and frequencies and propagate in two opposite directions. The numerical approach seems to be more convenient in the calculation of electric field repartition.
