Focus on the linguistic processing of a digital humanities project
Digital Humanities are interdisciplinary researches inviting SSH researchers to collaborate with computer science and between their fields. Our project reunites the fields of literature, linguistics and computer science to conceive the digital scholarly edition of the rewritings of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, in which we detect intertextual relations. In this article, we compare the effectiveness of NLP techniques for detecting textual re-use first, we then demonstrate, by presenting our method of matching entity names, that the integration of linguistic methods improves the quality of the results.
