Comments on the article “intrinsic fluorescence of UV-irradiated DNA” by G. T. Carroll, R. C. Dowling, D. L. Kirschman, M. B. Masthay and A. Mammana [J. photochem. photobiol. A: Chem. 437 (2023) 114484]

Résumé

The main findings of the commented paper had been reported by Hausswirth and Wang on 1973. In addition, the authors have not taken into account the recent literature on the UV-induced DNA damage and the intrinsic DNA fluorescence.
