Design of a Superdirective Small and Wideband Yagi-like Antenna

This work presents the design of a three-element compact Yagi-like antenna using superdirectivity principle. The length of this Yagi-like antenna is 60 % shorter than that of a classical one, while keeping the same performances of directivity and impedance bandwidth. To validate the design, a prototype is manufactured and measured. The measurements results show that the antenna exhibits an impedance bandwidth of 22.6% and a peak directivity of and 8.1 dBi. Also, the antenna presents a directivity bandwidth of 10.86 % and a total efficiency > 80%.
