Medicine and transhumanism in contemporary Francophone literature: limited genre, limited practice
Médecine et transhumanisme dans la littérature contemporaine : limites d’un genre et d’une pratique
Résumé
This paper mainly explores the treatment of medical practices and their evolution in the posthuman literature. Olga Lossky, in Risque zéro (2019), and Mireille Gagné, in Le Lièvre d’Amérique (2020), give a central place to the question of the exceeding of the human. As these two novels show us, this question is inseparable from the metamorphosis – even the disappearance – of modern medicine.
