Modelling the Integrated Production Scheduling and Vehicle Routing Problem

Résumé

In this paper, we study an integrated production scheduling and vehicle routing problem. On the production side, a set of jobs has to be scheduled on identical parallel machines considering release dates and due dates. On the delivery side, orders must be delivered to customers using several vehicles with limited capacity. The objective is to minimize delays and the total traveled distance. We propose a mathematical model to solve the integrated decision problem. An example is used to illustrate the proposed model and an experimental study is conducted.
