Die Agenda 2030 zur Halbzeit: Bilanz und nächste Schritte
The 2030 Agenda at Midterm: Taking Stock and Next Steps
Résumé
The mid-term review of the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is rather disappointing. For many of the goals and targets, global progress is weak and insufficient, or is even declining. To revive the commitment to the SDGs, political actors must see it in their self-interest to implement SDG goals. Additionally, the legitimacy of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs must be further strengthened. The focus should be on concrete measures that can set transformations in motion. The 2023 SDG Summit and the Summit of the Future in 2024 can lay an important foundation for this.
