Integrating monitoring and maintenance strategies for multi-units systems with stochastic dependences

Résumé

Condition-based maintenance policies for multi-units system are mainly based on the perfect knowledge of the units state. However this state can be impossible to know exactly because of monitoring problems (measurement errors, detection delays, non-detection, ... ) and the performance of the maintenance policy can drastically collapse mainly for systems with stochastic dependences. An overview of the stochastic dependences in multi-units systems is presented to identify cases for which the impact of imperfect monitoring is very important. A numerical example illustrates this study in the particular case of non-detection problem
