Does living in a country with high social protection expenses impacts return aspiration for second generation migrant?

Le fait de vivre dans un pays où les dépenses de protection sociale sont élevées a-t-il un impact sur l'aspiration au retour des descendants d'immigrés?

Résumé

The purpose of this presentation is to show how welfare magnets can have an impact on the declarations of intention to return by descendants of Chilean emigrants. The first hypothesis is that children of Chilean emigrants would be more likely to declare their intention to stay if they are in a country with a high welfare expenditure. The second is that adding this contextual control variable and controlling for different countries in the analysis does not change the effects already informed by the individual variables.
