Analytical Channel Model for On-Body Antenna at 60 GHz
Résumé
In this study, we proposed an analytical channel model for the assessment of on-body wireless system performances at millimeter-wave frequencies. The combined effects of direct on-body link and multipath fading components with dynamic characteristics of human walking motion was modeled by Monte Carlo simulation. The statistical distribution of signals shows that the Rician channel property at 60 GHz is well modeled using the proposed method. With the variations in Rice factor, the cross-polarized antenna performs well for accounting for the dynamic characteristics of mmWave on-body channels compared to linearly polarization antennas. © 2023 International Union of Radio Science.
