Résumé

It can be said that a well-functioning supply chain management (SCM) is a key to ensuring the success of any business in a competitive global economy. SCM consists of the management of the entire production flow, ranging from supplying raw materials all the way to delivering the final products to the consumer. It aims to minimize the total expenses and maximize the customer value. In recent years Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a powerful tool that allows SCM to be more effective. The applications of AI techniques have been witnessed in all the components of SCM. This chapter provides a survey on these applications, including the prominent applications of AI algorithms in demand forecasting, logistics, production, and designing a decision support system. We also discuss the use of blockchain for SCM. Finally, in the case study, we present a method for fashion retail sales forecasting using machine learning algorithms.
