4 - Electrical Methods
Résumé
The electrical measurement techniques in concrete were initially developed mainly for the diagnosis of steel corrosion. By extension, they have undergone developments focusing on the characterization of the concrete and the indicators of damage. The electrical resistivity of concrete is strongly conditioned by its porosity, its water state and the salinity of the interstitial solution. These three parameters are also major factors conditioning or revealing the alterations of the concrete. Measurement of electrical resistivity has become a means of assessing the condition of the material.
