Dynamiques de transmission de la morphologie agraire : pérennisation’ et ‘effacement’ de la centuriation romaine dans la plaine sud du Pô
Résumé
In recent years, the study of roman centuriation has often implied, as a complementary subject, the analysis of transmission dynamics of the agrarian morphology. The aim of this approach is to define the role played by centuriation in the process which is at the origin of nowadays agrar-ian morphology.
In this paper, a comparative approach to the dynamics of transmission of the agrarian morphology will be proposed. In particular, different transmission models of roman centuria-tion will be discussed, by comparing many case studies in the southern Po plain. In connection with different historical and environmental contexts, we can recognize cases of continuity of centuriation systems, such as in the territories of Cesena and Piacenza, cases of their total or partial effacement, such as in the territories of Faenza and Reggio Emilia, and, finally, a case of a centuriation “renewed” after Roman age, in the territory of Lugo.
