Design of Circular Dual-Band Six-Elements Dipole Array for Omnidirectional Radiation Pattern

Résumé

In this paper, a circular dual-band omnidirectional six dipole array is reported. The proposed antenna consists of six printed dipoles separated by an angle of 60 degrees. According to the simulated results the proposed structure operates at two resonance frequencies F1 = 2.29 GHz (WLAN band) and F2 = 3.45 GHz (5G band) with a corresponding overall bandwidth (S11 <-10 dB) of 220 MHz and 310 MHz respectively. The maximum obtained peak gain are 4.5 dBi (F1) and 3.2 dBi (F2). The proposed antenna is fabricated and measured to verify the simulation results. This low-cost, efficient, and easy-to-design antenna array can be very useful for omnidirectional radiation pattern with horizontal polarization applications. © 2023 University of Split, FESB.
