New second-hand book retailers justify their investment in this market with an environmental argument. Commercializing used books makes it possible to support actions so as to protect natural resources and opposing waste. After set up informations about this market, this article examines the functioning of these retailers (a social and solidarity economy company and an environnemental shop of an associative network) whose activity consists in collecting and re-saling books. The aim is to study their plan and then, by comparing the statements collected with the labor practices observed, to examine the coherence or contradictions that could appear in these new kinds of booksellers. Two essential parts of their work will be study: select good books to sale and setting resale prices. This contribution aims to underscore two points: the integration of the book into circular economy and the operations to resale a donation through organizations.
