Artificial Intelligence, automated decision-making in employee assessment : the challenges of rebalancing power and data protection in the workplace

Résumé

As management planning of human resources does not escape to the digitalization trend and, as automated decision-making (ADM) in employee assessment provides a reassuring justification for employer decision, this paper aims, to map the challenges of the practice of ADM in employee assessment and the weaknesses of the data protection framework. In this context, the paper highlights the need for special data protection to rebalance the power between employer and employee.
