Résumé
This paper focuses on issues of Near Eastern iconographical discourse between the IVth and the Ist millennia B.C. Was the relationship between human and pig a straightforward confrontation or did humans attribute to the animal particular characteristics now forgotten? Did representation of the pig have a political dimension? Analysis of iconographical discourse may offer answers.
