Advances in Organoboron Chemistry

Résumé

Thanks to the particular properties of boron, organoboron derivatives are excellent tools for substrate-or reagent-controlled asymmetric reactions. In this chapter, we focused on the synthesis of alpha-chiral boron derivatives and their stereospecific transformations, the allylation reaction, the borono-Mannich reaction and stereoselective glycosylations. These synthetic methodologies will be described with their reaction mechanisms or transition states, and their recent applications in the total synthesis of complex natural products and medicinal relevant molecules.
