We demonstrate the capacity of a monolithically integrated SOA-UTC photodiode to meet the HS-PON upstream burst mode sensitivity requirements at 50Gb/s (-26.5dBm and 20km achieved), and record error free performances at 58,2Gb/s. (C) 2021 The Author(s)
