Being plastic: the new managerial way for the responsible entreprise

Résumé

Following the covid-19 crisis, disappointment and gloom are widely shared by French employees. Today other crises continue to affect the relationship between employees, work and the company. Successive managerial transformations have heightened tensions between employees and management actors, which has affected trust they can have in the discourses and postures displayed by the company. In these conditions, how can companies build a sustainable relationship based on trust with employees? How can managerial practice help build this relationship? As specialists in HR and information systems management, the authors propose in this chapter an analysis of the experience and feelings of employees about work during and after the covid-19 crisis based on a longitudinal study from 2020 to 2022. They propose managerial recommendations based on the concepts of plasticity and psychological contract to cope with current and future crises in a sustainable way.
