Non-cooperative Resource Allocation Game-Theoretic Approach in Underwater Acoustics
Résumé
Sharing the available resources within the underwater acoustic spectrum by a huge number of users will definitely end up with the problem of resource allocation. This problem is due to the increasing demand for wireless communication services, and underwater applications advancement. However, reliable communication is challenging to achieve because of the intricate features of underwater acoustic channels. This paper aims to investigate a non-cooperative game theory-based power allocation algorithm for a multi-user underwater acoustic communication system. The proposed game’s Nash equilibrium solution will be investigated and derived, based on a constraint in terms of users power limitation. Therefore, an iterative water filling algorithm is recommended. The performance of the algorithm can be significantly impacted by the dynamic underwater acoustic environment, which is susceptible to high levels of noise and interference, as demonstrated by numerical simulations.
