Stolpersteine : mémoires en jeu dans les rues d’Alsace
Résumé
A Stolperstein, literally “stumbling stone”, is a small cobblestone coated with a brass plate, dedicated to one person persecuted by the Nazi regime because of their religious belonging, ethnicity, political affiliation, sexual orientation, mental or physical condition. The first Stolpersteine appeared in Alsace in 2019. They hold a remembrance and a pedagogical side but also raise issues on desirable forms of commemoration and the place of World War II remembrance in people’s lives.
