Exponential decay of the volume for Bernoulli percolation: a proof via stochastic comparison
Résumé
Let us consider subcritical Bernoulli percolation on a connected, transitive, infinite and locally finite graph. In this paper, we propose a new (and short) proof of the exponential decay property for the volume of clusters. We neither rely on differential inequalities nor on the BK inequality. We rather use stochastic comparison techniques, which are inspired by (and simpler than) those proposed in [Van22] to study the diameter of clusters. We are also very inspired by the adaptation of these techniques in [Eas22].
