As regards cinema, the institutionalization of the Art Cinema movement in France is concomitant with the objectives of the French government concerning the cultural question from the end of fifties. Thus, it appears interesting to raise the question of the role and the intentions of the State, especially as the case of the support for this movement is very enlightening to question the relationship between, on the one hand, an action aiming at the maintenance of a propositional diversity, and, on the other hand, the legitimization of forms. However, reflexion on the stakes relating to the control of the cultural policies requires an analysis of the way in which they are implemented and received by audiences. So, we suggest to do it here by examining the working of an initiative aimed at young audiences which is organized around projections and discussions of art movies, as well as its reception.
