Novel Adsorbents - Adsorption heat pump
Résumé
Due to their type V ("S-shape") water adsorption isotherms and large water capacities, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are considered as potential breakthrough adsorbents for heat pump applications. We could address waste heat conversion at low temperatures, such as those found in data centers, by using Al(OH)fumarate in particular, which could provide efficient regeneration at a lower temperature than silica gel. The potential effectiveness of Al(OH)fumarate, despite its higher adsorption capacity, could be compromised by heat and mass transfer limitations.
