A 3-D Printed Conformal Rectenna With Series Topology Using Fused Filament Fabrication Method

Résumé

This paper proposes a conformal rectifying antenna (rectenna) realized by fused filament fabrication (FFF) technology. More specifically, the dielectric substrate is fabricated using polylactic acid (PLA) filament, and metallic parts are made with the conductive filament Electrifi except for the ground plane, which is copper tape. The objective is to show the feasibility of a conformal rectenna using FFF additive printing with PLA and Electrifi filaments. The proposed rectenna is a patch antenna operating at 2.45 GHz and matched using an air cavity, coupled with a series topology RF/DC conversion circuit.
