Most recently, Y. Kalliontzis and Chr. Müller published seven new conscription lists from Chorsiai. This article starts from the statement that the chronology of the Boeotian federal archons used in the article to date these new documents raises difficulties. However, it is possible, by comparing the new series of documents from Chorsiai with the existing documentary series, especially that from Aigosthena, to propose a new chronology and to resolve most of the difficulties. On the basis of the succession of the Boeotian federal archons attested in the new texts from Chorsiai, an alternative chronological sequence is proposed for the last quarter of the 3rd century BC, and its coherence is tested on the basis of the prosopographical data from Akraiphia and Hyettos.
