SMART GRID AND INDUSTRY 4.0 INTERACTION AS A NON-COOPERATIVE GAME

Résumé

Industry 4.0 is the most recent industrial revolution that aims to satisfy the manufacturing systems need by improving their productivity, flexibility, and adaptability. However, the manufacturing systems need a tremendous amount of power which significantly increases load on smart grid. There are broad concerns about the impact that this huge consumption may cause to the power grid. Moreover, manufacturing systems are competing to consume power as high as possible from the smart grid in a selfish way, which also has a negative impact on both the other manufacturing systems and smart grid. In this paper, we model the interaction between the smart grid and manufacturing systems as a non-cooperative game. The basic idea of our scheme is to provide a fair power allocation between manufacturing systems. Simulation results confirm the effectiveness of our approach in reducing the load on the smart grid.
