Light-Duty Fuel-Cell Vehicle Designed for Energetic Race: High Efficiency Power Converter design

Résumé

In this paper, the detailed modelling and optimization of a power converter used on light-duty fuel-cell vehicle is presented. This vehicle is a prototype car developed to run energetic races, where the main objective is to go the furthest with the lowest energy. An accurate loss model of the power converter is proposed. This model will help to identify the main sources of losses, leading to the achievement of a high efficiency power converter. This study is validated experimentally on a dynamical test bench, which emulates the vehicle behaviour on a real race track.
