CULTURAL INVISIBLE CONTINUITY OF EXCHANGE DYNAMICS, OR THE AREAL CLASSIFICATION FACING REALITY

Abstract

Since the Tantric cult to Marici had been introduced into the 6th century’s Chinese territories until the 12th century once Marici was absorbed into Taoism, the Tantric cult to Marici, the cult’s progressive local development had been shaped by multipolarized local exchanges at the periphery of the Chinese imperial central plains and by backs and forths of populations between northern India, Central Asia and the South-West of China. This transversal intermediary area, with transcultural and transethnic specificities finds its unity in dynamics of exchange and transformation as a core value of this meta-geographical space along the Silk Road history. Marici’s cult has been re-shaped at the crossroads of exchange dynamics, whose multipolarized temporality and spatialization place scientific investigations at the crossroads of large sets of areal representations, whose principle of classification limits access to cultural polysemy. China and India as contemporary institutionalized referencial areas of geographical and cultural systems cannot reflect any tangible reality for peripheric localities during the first millennium. The epistemological posture is permanently caught up within this game of tensions in areal identification, risking to intrude bias and distortions into the understanding of the object’s complex and polymorphic meaningful reality and it’s interfaced peripherical areal scales through history. Scientific innovative paradigms based on a new referencial meta-areal modelisation recentering inter-spaces into a transversal continuum and settled with an inclusive lexical field and crossborder representations can only catch the very substance of cultural phenomenons.
