Semantics of quantum programming languages: Classical control, quantum control

Résumé

This chapter is devoted to a discussion on the semantics of quantum programming languages. We will discuss two main paradigms: the usual, standard co-processor model, and more exotic models based on quantum superposition of executions. We will discuss how these two systems can –or cannot– be unified, and how this relates to languages.
