Distributed Fog-based Caching Solution for Content-Centric Networking in IoT
Résumé
The development of micro electronic systems combined with the emergence of new information and communication technologies has allowed the integration of data collection, processing and transmitting functionalities in a single tiny device which is the wireless sensor. As a result, networks composed of these sensors offer a host of advantages over traditional networks, including networking, processing, storing and manipulating data on network nodes in the vicinity of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, such as fog computing. In this work, we propose to implement an architecture for a distributed fog caching solution for Content-Centric Networks (CCN). The latter consists of sensor sub-networks connected to one or more fog super-nodes that maintain the internal caching policies and interactions with the fog in order to achieve efficient content caching and retrieval.
