Blockchain Technologies for Implementing the UN Agenda 2030 on Sustainable Development Goals.

Résumé

In recent years sustainability of humans on earth has emerged as a central global challenge of the Anthropocene. At the same time, human technological ingenuity has given rise to entirely new classes of technologies to improve the human condition. Technologies such as, artificial intelligence, block chains, synthetic biology, robotics, have the potential for improving sustainability. In this exploratory study we examine how block chain technologies can help address sustainability challenges. We offer some suggestions for future research and policy implications.
