Robert Duncan’s Legacies: A Centennial Celebration
Résumé
For this occasion celebrating the centenary of Robert Duncan’s birth, we pose an Emersonian question: where do we find ourselves in the field of Duncan studies? By the term “studies” here we mean both the corpus of works authored by Robert Duncan as well as the broad range of critical responses to them. In what follows, we consider briefly the past and present of Duncan studies before focusing primarily on its future, with a particular emphasis on those archival projects that would be generative for future scholarship.
