Quelques réflexions sur des discours hybrides du latin biblique
Résumé
In this paper I study a mixed category of reported discourse : direct quotations introduced by a subordinating conjunction. This hybrid pattern appears in biblical latin and later layers, mainly with quia and quoniam. In the biblical translations, this pattern is very well represented in both Old Testament and New Testament of the Vetus Latina, but only in the Gospels of Jerome's new translation. The aim of this paper is to describe and investigate this in-between structure within the framework of latin oratio obliqua
