Experimental modelling of wire-to-multicylinder Electrostatic Precipitator
Résumé
The efficiency of electrostatic filters depends mainly on the value of the applied voltage and the distribution of the electric field. However, increasing the values of the applied voltage is associated with the increase of the energy consumption resulting in obvious price increase. This paper presents other method of achieving highest efficiency of dust removal. A new geometry arrangement of electrostatic precipitator is investigated experimentally using incense particles in DC corona discharge. An efficiency of 100 % is reached at an applied voltage of 9 kV.
