Stellar evolution with turbulent diffusion mixing. VI - The solar model, surface Li-7, and He-3 abundances, solar neutrinos and oscillations

Résumé

The authors examine the consequences for the solar evolution of the turbulent diffusion induced by differential rotation. Four different evolutionary models of the Sun are calculated with various parameters and are compared. These models are constructed with Los Alamos opacities, including molecular absorption at low temperatures. A helium abundance of Y = 0.28 is taken to match the present solar luminosity. Apart from the luminosity and effective temperature constraints, the authors examine in detail: (1) the 7Li surface abundance, (2) the 3He/4He surface ratio, (3) the solar neutrino flux, (4) the spacing period of low degree gravity modes, (5) the frequency separations between the low degree 5 min pressure modes.
