Normal A0-A1 stars with low v sin i
Résumé
Royer et al. (2007) studied a sample of A0-A1 stars that did not contain any previously known binary or chemically peculiar (CP) star. They showed that the distribution of the equatorial rotational velocities of the sample is bimodal. We report here the preliminary results of the abundance analysis of 47 of those ``normal'' A0-A1 main-sequence stars. The selection criterion was v sin i < 65 km/s. An hierarchical classification based on the abundances has supported the identification of new CP stars, while normal composition was confirmed the for 40 clean sample of normal A0-A1 stars with low v sin i was then examined for intrinsically slow rotators.
