Dark Matter in Modern Physics and itself

Kirill Vankov

Résumé

The primary origin of the puzzle of hypothetical Dark Matter (DM) is due to the apparent failure of Newtonian gravity to explain Astronomical observations revealing rotation curves of stars being flat, first of all, in spiral galaxies, like the Milky Way. Over time, the DM became an indispensable subject in the Standard Cosmological Model and spread to other branches of Modern Physics, which have already had their own problems. This made a scientific formulation of the DM problem inherently inconsistent and hardly testable. In such circumstances, I focused the attention on Newtonian Gravitation and showed that the DM puzzle is resolvable in the Newtonian Gravitation framework. The solution is illustrated in the simplified model of the Milky Way galaxy. I hope this work will provoke critical discussions and new ideas among specialists in the Dynamics of galaxies. This is the right time for open forums on revisions and alternatives in the Modern Physics branches.
