Synthesis of Fatty Acid Bioconjugates and Related Derivatives
Résumé
A brief Review on the conjugation of fatty acids with some small bioactive molecules is presented, with emphasis on lipophenols, branched fatty acyl esters of hydroxyl fatty acids (FAHFAs), glycerolipids, endocannabinoids, lipopeptides and cysteinyl specialized proresolving mediators (Cys-SPM).
Several families of naturally occurring fatty acid conjugates are presented. Chemical and chemoenzymatic syntheses are exemplified for fatty acid conjugates with (poly)phenols, glycerol, hydroxyfatty acids, aminoacids and small peptides.
