Damping behavior of hemp and flax fibre reinforced greenpoxy composites

Résumé

Plant fiber composites are considered as promising solutions to develop lightweight sustainable structures. However, their damping behavior is not yet fully characterized and understood. This study proposes a multi-scale investigation of the damping properties of two high-grade flax and hemp fiber reinforced Greenpoxy composites on a wide range of frequency using modal analysis, dynamic mechanical analysis and dynamic nano-indentation.
