Drug delivery in the bloodstream using particles: A numerical study
Résumé
I will talk about our recent advances in proposing numerical schemes to model drug delivery from particles subjected to flow. The first part of the talk will be devoted to the core-shell particles (fibers and capsules) and how their shells, with finite thickness, alter mass transfer under flow conditions. The second part of the talk will focus on how to model mass transfer from deformable particles, having zero-thickness membranes, and flowing in the vascular system.
