PARLER DE L'AUTRE, PARLER DE SOI : LA CULTURE FRANÇAISE DANS L'ENSEIGNEMENT SECONDAIRE CHINOIS
Résumé
French culture is one of the most studied foreign topics in Chinese secondary schools. This article aims to understand the choices of Chinese textbooks writers. Although it seems that the ideology of the State, which is more nationalist than communist, can explain most of them, the links between certain French texts and French historical events and Chinese culture could also make the stated texts appear in Chinese textbooks. Lastly, this paper tries to show how important French history and literature are in today’s Chinese society, especially with regard to the glory of the past and China’s investment opportunities in French-Speaking Africa.
